In fact, Earth's history is entirely irrelevent. We don't need the fossil record to describe a basic function of life on Earth that continue to occur as we speak.

This is why creationists always try to attack abiogenesis or the fossil record. They think that if they can find some hole in our knowledge base of Earth history, then evolution somehow loses. Of course, we DO have a lot of holes in our knowledge of the pre-historic past, but again, it's totally irrelevent. We don't have to know where the first cell comes from to know that life evolves.

And this leads into what I consider the most humorous aspect of creationism and intelligent design. They THINK that evolution is the only theory they oppose. But if you actually listen to the way they attack the fossil record, the geologic column, the big bang theory, star formation, and so on and so forth... You begin to realize that creationists and intelligent design advocates are actually (implicitly) opposed to EVERY FIELD OF SCIENCE!

Yes, even gravity! Because creationists won't accept theory by which star systems are formed. They think that God has to do it.

~NeilTV's Mr. Neilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05134940916393648860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25327006.post-56141656450552903952008-03-02T21:11:00.000-06:002008-03-02T21:11:00.000-06:00LOL!Dont forget when addressing the theism/atheism...LOL!

Dont forget when addressing the theism/atheism thing, Dembski et al are *not* theistic evolutionists.
