However, it's been a full year and to celebrate the anniversary, they've released a new set of pictures to commemorte the occasion. Last year was starburst galaxy M82.This year, it's a gigantic picture of the Carina Nebula: a star forming region visible from the southern hemisphere. Phil Plait's already done a detailed write-up looking at many objects in the nebula, so instead of rewriting it here, I'll just point to him.
