Plastic bags come with warning labels that notify users to keep them away from small children due to the suffocation hazard. But it seems that, in France, they may want to add another group that needs to keep away from plastic bags: Religious idiots.
Incase you weren't aware, plastic bags are not to be placed over someone's head in order to "trap the devil", during an exorcism.
And yes, idiots hurting or killing people while performing exorcisms looks like it's a common enough occurance that I've added a tag for it.
I don't have a problem with using plastic bags during an exorcism, PROVIDED the bags are place over the heads of the exorcists. The devil, after all, will almost certainly be desperate to possess another host quickly, and the exorcists will be the closest ones around.
ReplyDeleteOf course all this assumes that the devil is so weak that he cannot penetrate plastic - but if he's that weak, he's not really much of a devil in the first place, now is he?
Maybe I'm not up on my exorcism theology but why would you want to trap the devil? Wouldn't you want him to get away?
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the whole point?
Here's the latest from Phoenix, AZ. People complain about tasers killing people on occasion, but I'm thinking it's not such a bad thing here. . .
