I've recently been reminded that it's de-lurking week. I know I have a fair amount of readers, and I want to hear from you guys! So leave a comment, especially if you haven't before. If you can't think of anything to say, here's a few good questions:
1. Have we met in person?
2. How did you learn about my blog?
3. What do you do (i.e., are you a scientist)?
4. Are the "technical" posts too technical or too dumbed-down?
5. Which kind of posts do you enjoy the most?
6. Anything else?

4. no
5. research related and KU related
6. I have a BS in Astronomy (1989) from KU so your blog is a bit of a nostalgia tour for me. Those were the days...
1. We've never met in person
2. From badastronomy.com
3. Systems Administrator
4. You strike the right balance between "technical" and "dumbed-down." Being challenged to understand what I'm reading makes me smarter!
5. I'm relatively new to AA, but I've enjoyed everything I've read so far
6. I'm from Kansas and had no idea my home state was full of so many smart people!
1. No, we haven't.
2. From the Bad Astronomer
3. I'm a high-school student
4. The technical posts are perfect.
5. The science and the anecdotal ones.
6. Lurk via RSS.
1. Well, I'm from Holland and I've never been to the US. Have you ever been here?
2. PZ probably
3. Used to be a physics assistant at a teacher training institute which fell victim to politics and one of many waves of budget cutting. Now I am a Mac sysadm.
4. Just my level :-)
5. Just about all of them.
6. Keep it coming please.
1.Have we met in person?
not that i know of!
2. How did you learn about my blog?
I was tired of Bad astronomers and decided to check out an angry one.
3. What do you do (i.e., are you a scientist)?
I tell people that I'm a piano player in a whorehouse. Otherwise, I'd have to embarrass my mom and tell them truthfully that I'm a lawyer.
4. Are the "technical" posts too technical or too dumbed-down?
Just right for this non-techie.
5. Which kind of posts do you enjoy the most?
"Astronomy made simple" and the anti-creationism posts are highlights for me.
6. Anything else?
Great site!
1. Have we met in prison?
I hope not. Have you ever been imprisoned in Denmark? ...Neither have I.
2. How did you learn about my blog?
Probably from venganza.org through obscure paths.
3. What do you do (i.e., are you a scientist)?
In my dreams. In reality I'm an all-round computer art kind of guy.
4. Are the "technical" posts too technical or too dumbed-down?
They're too few, is what they are :)
5. Which kind of posts do you enjoy the most?
Actually, you seem to have the perfect blend of science stuff and superstition-bashing.
6. Anything else?
I enjoy reading your blog, keep up the good work :)

1. No
2. Don´t remember, maybe digg.
3. Computer Science graduate student. Work in a private university in Cali, Colombia.
4. I think they´re fine
5. All of them
6. I really enjoy reading your blog.
1. Have we met in person?
No
2. How did you learn about my blog?
You know, I honestly don't recall. I think it had somethign to do with one of the online comics you were talking about. it's been a while.
3. What do you do (i.e., are you a scientist)?
I am a scientist, at heart, however I earn a living working as a soft ware developer for a large health care provider.
4. Are the "technical" posts too technical or too dumbed-down?
I haven't had a problem following any of them, I think they are fine.
5. Which kind of posts do you enjoy the most?
Well the whole creationist vs people who actually looked at evolution is a hot point for me so I like all of those. but I like a different take on astronomy news as well. it's nice to have more of an inside look into the "industry" so to speak instead of the watered down news I usually read.
6. Anything else?
Interesting, seems I have an account on Blogspot. I didn't know that I did. cool.
1. No
2. The Bad Astronomer
3. Software Developer
4. You have a good balance. A little more technical information never hurt anyone though.
5. I always enjoy the anti-creationism posts, but I like the astronomy related posts. It's always fun to learn.
6. Same as everyone else - keep up the good work. I've enjoyed your blog, and I've learned from it.
1. Nope
2. Found a link to the post "The Big Bang - Common Misconceptions" but I don't remember where it was referenced.
3. Currently, I'm a junior in high school and dabble in film-making.
4. I find them to be pretty understandable.
5. I be vague, basically, all of them, otherwise I wouldn't be a consistent reader of the blog.
6. Did the posts on Dawkins' appearance at KU ever get finished? The first one was labeled "Part 1" but I never saw any more posts on the subject.
Hm, I tried posting this a while back, but apparently it didn't take, so:
1. No
2. Don't remember.
3. astronomy grad student
4. Not qualified to answer.
5. Stuff I haven't heard of already, though I get sick of the "oh my god creationists are so dumb" kind of posts.
6. You could have at least mentioned that you got this list of questions from, you know, me.
Sorry I stole your questions. I assumed that they were part of the standard question set proposed by those who invented the de-lurking week.
And living in Kansas, there's no such thing as pointing out all the shortcomings of creationists. Perhaps eventually they'll take notice.
